Sodexho Prestige wins Haydock Park Races
Sodexho Prestige, the UK's largest event caterer and provider of corporate hospitality, has been awarded a further three year contract to solely manage Haydock Park Racecourse's conference, banqueting and hospitality as well as race-day public catering.
Haydock Park has a thriving conference and banqueting business, holding approximately 1,000 non-race day events for 110,000 non-race day visitors per year. The venue comprises outstanding conference facilities, including six larger suites (100 - 500 capacity), six smaller suites (seating up to 20 people) and 33 Executive Boxes (seating up to 10 people). Day delegate rates start from £40 per person.
The racecourse plays host to 30 race days a year (with a capacity of 20,000) and 1,000 corporate events. Haydock's County enclosure hosts 74,000 people annually, while 90,000 people are catered for in Tattersalls and 28,000 racegoers in the Newton Enclosure (Silver Ring) each year. In addition, Haydock Park also offers 13 acres of hard standing outdoor exhibition space and 1,200sq meters of indoor exhibition space. The centre of the racecourse can also be used for music concerts, having hosted a number of bands to date including Simply Red.
