Kate, a group services manager for Sodexho Education undertook her sky dive from Tilstock Airfield in Shropshire. Kate leapt out of a plane strapped to a qualified sky diver and managed to raise a fantastic £751 for her daring challenge which will all go straight to STOP Hunger.
Kate said: “I don't think I have ever been so scared in my life! It was a beautiful day and a fantastic experience, but the 5,000 ft freefall was something never to be repeated!”
Sodexho, the UK's leading catering and support services company provides school meals, cleaning and grounds maintenance for five schools in Ellesmere Port covering roughly 2,000 pupils. Kate is responsible for overseeing Sodexho's services at all five schools.
The STOP Hunger campaign was developed by Sodexho to support charities in the UK that combat poor nutrition in our local communities. These include the children's charity NCH as well as FareShare, which delivers surplus food to people in need.
