Sodexho win contract with Smith & Nephew
Sodexho has won a £700,000 contract to provide integrated facilities management for Smith & Nephew, the global medical devices company, at its divisional head office in Hull.
The contract covers cleaning, laundry management, mailroom, switchboard, reception, pest control, landscaping, porterage and waste management services. It has been awarded for three years.
Sodexho, the catering and support services provider, has also been retained to provide catering at the Hull site, which is the head office and worldwide manufacturing site for Smith & Nephew's Wound Management Division. 1,000 people work there.
Stuart Norman, Business Development Manager for Sodexho, said: "We are delighted to have been asked by a blue chip company like Smith & Nephew to provide this range of key services. It is a real endorsement for the strength and depth of our integrated facilities management offer and reflects Sodexho's vision to move into the management of large multi-service sites."
Sodexho employ 61 people at the site and had previously held the catering contract since October 2002.
