Childcare vouchers are a government-led initiative to encourage employers to help their employees with their childcare costs. By running a childcare voucher scheme, employers save on Employer National Insurance whilst employees save tax and National Insurance Contributions. Childcare vouchers are offered as part of a salary sacrifice or benefit in kind scheme. The most common method is through salary sacrifice whereby you elect to take part of your existing salary as childcare vouchers. To benefit you simply complete a form and your employer registers you with Sodexho Pass, the scheme provider. Your employer orders your vouchers and you receive them on payday. You use the vouchers to pay your carer who receives payment from Sodexho Pass.

Yes. The tax and National Insurance exemption is per parent irrespective of the number of children you have. The benefit can therefore effectively be doubled to £110 per week. If your partner's employer has not yet implemented a scheme your partner or spouse can request information to pass on to their employer by emailing our Sales team on sales@sodexhopass.co.uk.
