How do I join the scheme?

You can only benefit from a childcare voucher scheme once your employer has put one in place. If your company does not have a scheme in place why not send your employer an email to tell them about the benefits of a Sodexho Pass childcare voucher scheme. Once your employer has a childcare voucher scheme in place, you will be provided with a Salary Sacrifice Agreement to complete. This agreement formally revises and alters your Terms and Conditions of employment and forms an agreement between you and your employer. You will also be given a Carer Registration Agreement Form. This must be completed by your carer to enable Sodexho Pass to pay them for the vouchers they accept from you. You can let your carer know how the scheme works using the Carer leaflet. A completed Carer Registration Form should be returned to you along with a copy of your carer's certificate (for scheme compliance purposes). Salary sacrifice forms and carer documentation must then be passed to your scheme co-ordinator who will forward them to Sodexho Pass so that an account can be opened to allow payment to be made to your carer. Vouchers can then be ordered for the next pay period.

What if my carer doesn't have the registration or approval certificate? 

Your carer must demonstrate they are registered or approved in order for you to take advantage of the tax and NI exemption. If your carer is regulated by a national body such as Ofsted / CSIW / Scottish Care Commission / Surestart they should have a certificate. If this isn't the case, they should contact the regulatory body and ask for a copy.
